Prof. Dr. Yinlun Huang has come to Berlin to join the UniCat group of Prof. Günter Wozny for a 3½ month research visit.
Yinlun Huang is a Fulbright Scholar who was honoured by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in 2008.
Huang is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Material Science at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He is an expert in multiscale complex systems science. As a Fulbright Scholar he had free choice of where to go.

Prof. Huang's research is mainly in the field of multiscale complex systems science and engineering. "His research has been strongly supported by the NSF, the EPA, the NASA, the US Army, and many industrial sectors" says Günter Wozny. "We are proud to have him here in our Department of 'Dynamics and Operation of Technical Plants'".
Yinlun Huang has published extensively in major technical journals. He is also very active in AIChE, the ACS, and other professional societies. He is current Chair of the AIChE Sustainable Engineering Forum and past Chair of Process Research and Innovation of AIChE. He is also the Chair-Elect of the Green Chemistry Subdivision of the ACS. He has served on a number of editorial boards and has chaired many international and national conferences.
Prof. Huang obtained his BS degree from Zhejiang University, China, in 1982, and his MS and PhD degrees from Kansas State University in 1988 and 1992, respectively, all in Chemical Engineering. Before joining Wayne State University in 1993, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Texas at Austin.
