Girls'Day & Technoclub

Female students in science and engineering: In physics and in some disciplines of engineering the number of female students is still rather low. Here we will support existing projects carried out in cooperation with Berlin’s secondary schools and dedicated to encouraging female secondary school students to enrol in these disciplines. The activities that are exclusively aimed at female secondary school students include a specific programme called “Girls’ Day” with excursions to the laboratories of the CoE, and cooperation with the “Techno-Club” that aims to encourage female secondary school students to study disciplines in engineering and science. The CoE will collaborate with “Femtec” and “ProMotion”, two initiatives at the TUB that provide special support for female undergraduate and graduate students.
