Prof. Dr. Janina Maultzsch receives a fund of about 1.47 million Euro for a new research project on characterization and control of carbon nanotubes and graphenes.
Janina Maultzsch uses resonant Raman scattering, Raman scattering combined with scanning probe techniques and photoluminescence. She supports her experiments and interpretations by theoretical methods, e.g. first-principles calculations, group theory, and numerical simulations of experimental results.
Janina Maultzsch studied physics at TU Berlin. After her PhD work in 2004 she went to Columbia University in New York as Alexander von Humboldt fellow. In 2008 she became junior professor at TU Berlin.
